I would imagine that blood loss is quite common in surgically altered babies if they aren't "greased up" enough. We all know that it doesn't take a whole lot of blood loss for a tiny baby to go into shock and die. I wonder how they classify these deaths? CDC states that 600 newborns hemorrhage to death every year. Only takes 2 oz. of blood loss for a newborn to hemorrhage and die.
